What's genuinely useful to us

• A number or price that's wrong or out of date. Tell us which page. Corrections get published in the public log with the date and what changed.
• A trade that refused the job. If you called who we said and they told you it wasn't their work, that's our mistake and we want to fix the routing.
• A situation we haven't covered. What went wrong, and what you couldn't work out.
• You work in one of these trades and we've described your job wrong. We'd rather hear it bluntly than leave it up.

What we can't do

We can't send anyone to your house, recommend a specific company in your area, or help with an emergency in progress. We're a reference site, not a dispatcher — see about. If something is actively dangerous — fire, gas, carbon monoxide, a downed power line, a person at risk — call 911 rather than emailing us.
